The Business
Siemens Smart Infrastructure combines the real and digital worlds across energy systems, buildings, and industries, enhancing the way people live and work and significantly improving efficiency and sustainability.
Role Headline
Ensures the implementation of the sales strategy, guidelines, and targets in selling assigned products, services, or projects to customers in the Industrial and Infrastructure segments, who use Siemens products directly or indirectly, during their investments. The goal is to increase sales and achieve commercial targets by developing and implementing the SI EP strategy in Industry and Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for the Western and Eastern Cape regions.
- Responsible for all Business Development activities for Low Voltage Switchgear products and portfolio in this region and others as directed.
- Perform strategic planning, analysis, and operational activities to exploit opportunities in Industrial and Infrastructure segments.
- Drive Siemens' presence at Resellers, End users, Consultants, Architects, EPCs, and Contractors in Industry and Infrastructure.
- Create awareness among customer groups to include Siemens Low Voltage Switchgear in specifications.
- Support Partner Management in establishing a SINOVA Partner/Distributor network for infrastructure segments.
- Generate and lead bid opportunities to contribute to a strong sales pipeline and meet sales targets.
- Coordinate projects and gather information for new strategies.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis related to the SINOVA Product Portfolio.
- Focus on the entire LC-ZA bundle covering African countries outside South Africa.
- Travel extensively within the regions mentioned.
- Develop and implement a framework for Sales, Support, and Services across Africa in collaboration with IAA Regional Management.
- Seek, farm, and appoint Industrial and Infrastructure Partners with Partner Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering; business qualification is an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of the Infrastructure segment and its stakeholders.
- Ability to lead virtual project teams across countries.
- Intercultural skills for cooperation with managers in various countries.
- At least 2-4 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in sales or channel development roles.
- Experience working with or in a channel sales organization.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
