Area Sales Manager

Würth South Africa Co. (Pty) Ltd is actively looking for a talented, vibrant, highly motivated and disciplined Area Sales Manager who will represent the company as a brand ambassador by managing a sales team and offering sales services to our customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Matric or equivalent
2. Completed or studying towards a marketing/business degree or diploma or have a proven track record with relevant experience will be advantageous
3. Must reside within the area
4. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager
5. Sales oriented, goal driven & self-motivated
6. High level of commitment
7. Report writing skills
8. Leadership skills and presentation skills
9. Strategic thinking skills
10. Product knowledge relevant to the Würth South Africa industry
11. Clear disciplinary record, criminal record and credit history

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Establish and keep an up to date planning system for all customers.
2. Lead, motivate and support a team of Customer Sales Consultants to achieve the group’s monthly and annual budgets.
3. Accountable for the sales growth, profit margins as well as customer balance growth of each individual member in your group.
4. Drive the company’s multichannel strategy within your group to ensure future prosperity.
5. Manage, coach and develop your sales team.
6. Ensure all company communication is received by your sales team.
7. Ensure your sales team is focused and implements the company’s current focus topics.
8. Travel with Customer Sales Consultants 15 days a month.
9. Complete all workout reports and all relevant administration tasks.
10. Conduct monthly 1 on 1 meetings with each CSC and communicate all job expectations by reviewing, monitoring and addressing sales performance.
11. Conduct monthly group month end meetings and include product training in these meetings.
12. Ensure every team member knows what is required of them to achieve budget.
13. Implement the company’s sales strategy in your group.
14. Manage the growth and development of the group with regards to sales, customers and customer class development.
15. Ensure business development in all relevant market segments are investigated and actioned.
16. Embrace all aspects of the Würth culture and implement them in your daily activities by leading by example.
17. Ensure a cohesive inter-departmental relationship is formed between the company and your sales team.
18. Carry out market research and analysis of competitors.
19. Build business relationships with large customers.
20. Ensure all data for your sales team is kept up to date and accurate.
21. Ensure all individual geographical areas are fair and have potential for growth.
22. Adhere to company price increases and authorization of price discounts within your sales team.
23. Recruitment and selection of new CSC’s as when required.
24. Handle disciplinary issues in your group as and when required and carry out any disciplinary action required.
