Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Market Share | Market Growth: Contribute to increased lead and sales generation.
  2. Participate in the development and realization of the sales, marketing, financial, and structural strategies in the region of responsibility to ensure enhanced market share and market growth in line with company budget and goals implemented by Executive Management.
  3. Explore a minimum of 20 new potential customers per month.
  4. Refer and escalate issues to Executive Management.
  5. Grow pipeline and increase average deal size: Maintain and manage strategic targets of opportunities of quotes/proposals sent or presented which expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence.
  6. Work towards high quote to deal conversion turnover.
  7. Region Performance Management: Act as brand ambassador for the company and its products.
  8. Manage dealers in the respective region by objective goal setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales regions.
  9. Promote the sales of products and services to existing and potential clients and ensure regular follow-up with customer satisfaction on service received.
  10. Coordinate the sale of products to customers by collaborating with all internal parties in the company to complete all orders as required and guarantee optimal service delivery.
  11. Attend to customer queries or concerns regarding the products in a timely manner.
  12. Circulate quotations and invoicing to clients, warranting good relationship building by maintaining old business connections and creating new business interactions.
  13. Willingness to travel extensively to African countries in allocated regions.
  14. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships which creates new business (brand new account) and renewal business.
  15. Support PM dealers in respective regions to realize the sale of PM Equipment and the revenue thereof.
  16. Familiarize self with content requirements and solicit information from appropriate sources to generate sales.
  17. Utilize existing tender, bulletin, vendor, or company information as far as possible to save time and effort in generating sales.
  18. Save document information that can be used for future tenders, bulletins, vendor, and dealership applications.
  19. Ensure interdepartmental communication in terms of project and deal deliverables are executed within given deadlines.
  20. Report sales, revenue, and expenses by compiling realistic conjectures to the Executive Management team.
  21. Compile annual budget (for approval by Executive Management) of Sales Region.
  22. Regularly update all CRM related company-used applications in terms of sales figures and forecasting.
  23. Undertake and assess market research that may identify gaps and opportunities and analyze industry trends as well as country-specific competitor benchmarking to report on it to Executive Management.
  24. Circulate and complete requisite documentation in terms of qualitative and quantitative implementations to clients, dealers, etc.
  25. Follow up with external clients in terms of progress of deals up until completion of transaction and circulate requisite information to internal staff ensuring that all relevant documents are received to complete the sales deal (from quote to fruition).
  26. Maintain customer database on Sales Force.
  27. Circulate customer satisfaction surveys.
  28. Participate in sales and marketing meetings and promotional campaigns (e.g., sales events, trade shows, and sales conferences) as required.
  29. Research and understand the economy and industry in assigned countries.
  30. Apply own legitimate initiatives and methods (cold calling, door-to-door, presentation, digital communication, etc.) with adherence to company policies to develop, generate, and maintain acceptable sales turnover.
  31. Closing of sales deals in allocated regions attributing to the set sales quotas and budget.
  32. Follow proper company corporate governance and operational procedures in terms of preparation of all information presented, forwarded, and communicated to all current and potential clients to ensure compliance within sanctioned company group guidelines and country legislation.
  33. From time to time, participate in projects or tasks outside the official responsibilities but within the scope of company sales-related requirements (e.g., health, safety & environment).

Skills And Qualifications:

  4. Ability to analyze and generate reports, ledgers, and market evaluations.
  5. Microsoft Office Suite - SAP and Cognos (advantageous), Sales Force.
  6. Willingness to travel extensively to African countries in allocated regions.

Education And Training Requirements:

  1. Matric or equivalent certificate.
  2. Post-matric qualification in Sales and/or Marketing, Retail Management, Consumer Behaviour (advantageous).
  3. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  4. Experience in dealing with cross-border trade.
  5. Shipping and exchange rate (FX) knowledge in terms of exporting goods and products (nice to have, very advantageous).
