Job description

  • Customer visits within the assigned region to generate new leads and opportunities.
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of the company's portfolio to contribute effectively in customer meetings and technical discussions with plants.
  • Create a development strategy within the focus area in coordination with the plants.
  • Develop sales and after-sales strategies and plans to achieve targets and profit goals.
  • Focus on enriching the sales pipeline and developing new clients.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction to foster repeat orders.
  • Assist in contract negotiations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential new customers and application areas.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors within the assigned region.
  • Discuss commercial terms with clients and follow up on open payments.
  • Coordinate all activities between clients and manufacturing sites.
  • Participate in trade fairs and significant food packaging exhibitions regionally and internationally.
  • Prepare reports on all sales activities promptly.
  • Maintain the CRM system and project lists up to date.

    Competencies Required :

    • Proven track record of more than 5 years in sales.
    • Personal sales experience within the equipment and general/packaging machinery sector, preferably in food processing and packaging.
    • Well-connected and experienced in sales within the food production and packaging industry.
    • Experience with customers in Southern Africa.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
    • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
    • Excellent customer management and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
