Job description

Effective and efficient execution of the sales and merchandising function at store level.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables :

  1. Count stock and determine stock to be ordered
  2. Calculate and confirm order
  3. Manage returns
  4. Provide feedback regarding store-specific issues
  5. Manage stock levels
  6. Manage sales targets through monitoring
  7. Monitor and communicate pricing in stores, investigating identified discrepancies
  8. Confirm pricing and list price in accordance with the cycle deal sheet
  9. Assist Field Manager in new account applications
  10. Communicate promotional activity
  11. Communicate pack changes and new product innovation
  12. Conduct and communicate ranging exercises in accordance with trade sector

Effective management of shelf health

  1. Count stock and determine stock to be merchandised
  2. Draw stock according to requirements
  3. Unpack stock
  4. Ensure all lines are on display according to trade sector layout
  5. Optimize stock levels, monitor slow/fast sellers, and take appropriate action
  6. Conduct quality checks, respond to poor quality or damaged stock
  7. Ensure stock rotation
  8. Keep area/shelves clean, tidy, and uncluttered
  9. Identify opportunities to cross merchandise and implement
  10. Communicate and achieve brand objectives
  11. Manage out-of-stock situations

Effective execution of point of purchase

  1. Apply point of purchase drivers as per unit specification
  2. Negotiate space based on rate of sales

Effective administration

  1. Report on competitor activities
  2. Update personal register
  3. Maintain store files
  4. Provide weekly feedback reports
  5. Generate listing monitor reports
  6. Provide promotional feedback reports

Customer service and satisfaction

  1. Gather feedback from customer complaints, queries, and requests, and ensure resolution
  2. Communicate and maintain knowledge of promotions and products to advise customers
  3. Build and maintain strong working relationships

Effective self-management

  1. Maintain personal quality and productivity standards
  2. Apply internal procedures consistently
  3. Plan and prioritize to manage competing demands
