Job description

Area Manager Rustenburg Branch :

The above position is vacant at the Rustenburg Branch, reporting to the Branch Manager. The overall purpose of this position is to manage several Operations Managers, covering key areas such as client liaison, HR / IR matters, fleet management, expenses control, investigations, and ensuring the posting of security officers. The goal is to ensure all site security requirements are met and that clients' needs are efficiently and professionally addressed at all times.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • PSIRA Grade A / B registered.
  • Valid Driver's License with own reliable transport.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the security industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational security management.
  • Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Computer literacy with expert knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • No criminal record or pending cases.
  • Sound planning, administration, interpersonal communication, and client liaison skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, along with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and its requirements.

Key Performance Areas :

  1. Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the client regarding security services rendered.
  2. Managing allocated areas to meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the client.
  3. Ensuring all security officers on site meet contractual requirements.
  4. Evaluating service levels and recommending improvements to the client.
  5. Managing and supervising security staff to ensure performance standards are met.
  6. Handling administration matters.
  7. Daily liaison with management on operational issues.
  8. Coordination with regional management on operational matters.
  9. Prompt handling of HR-related queries.
  10. Formulating disciplinary actions.
  11. Timely submission of employment forms to the regional office.
  12. Submitting weekly/monthly incident and general reports.
  13. Investigating incidents and reporting on them.
  14. Maintaining sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Management System.
