Role Summary

The main responsibility of the Area Manager for Retail Service Development is to assist with the development and growth of the Service business in conjunction with other Areas in the Services Unit and thereby maximizing customer satisfaction. The Area Manager for Retail Service Development ensures that the Service offering is continuously updated and developed to meet current and future customer needs to maximize customer uptime, efficiency and profitability. The Area Manager for Retail Service Development is responsible for development & sales of various service solutions whether part of the existing service sales offering, or tailor made to a specific customer needs - in order to reach the short & long term targets. This requires an efficient and frequent interaction with all Regions, Sales/Service Areas & Customers in order to support and drive the retail business.

  • Developing and implementing the service development strategy: Critical for aligning regional goal with Scania’s overall strategy and market positioning.
  • Managing the Services Portfolio: Important for defining and delivering customer-focused service solutions, including both Scania and non-Scania products.
  • Thinking Strategically: Helps in seeing the big picture, connecting market trends with internal strategy, planning long term.
  • Ensuring Accountability: Crucial for leading teams, tracking performance, and ensuring targets and service standards are met.
  • Customer Understanding: Essential to create offerings that improve customer profitability and satisfaction.
  • Financial and Business Figures: Key for driving data-based decisions and managing profitability across retail and whole service channels.

Applicants must meet these minimum requirements:

  • Higher education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years Managerial and leadership experience preferably in the heavy vehicle industry.
  • Managerial and Leadership experience.
