Area Manager For East London Attractive Remuneration Package

The largest private authorised financial service provider in South Africa, and registered Credit Provider, offering micro loans through stores nationwide, requires an Area Manager for East London and the metropolitan area. The main purpose of the job is to ensure the profitability of the stores, driving sales and improving collections, and ensuring Branch Managers and Staff are effectively trained and managed.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will currently be working in the retail industry and could be a Senior Branch Manager in a furniture group or in an FMCG company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Accountable for managing assigned branches
2. Conduct regular visits and reviews of branch performance
3. Ensure branches are profitable and exceed sales and collection targets
4. Monitor, measure and report on the performance of all assigned stores and ensure open communication between branches and head office
5. Responsible for recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, performance management, coaching, discipline, and adherence to all SOPs
6. Accountable for company policies and procedures
7. Provide a professional and friendly service to all internal and external customers

Desired Experience & Qualification:

1. Grade 12 Matric
2. Maths Literacy
3. Certificate / Diploma in Micro Lending Frontline Service (NQF 4)
4. Certificate / Diploma in Generic Management (NQF 5)
5. Understanding of Credit granting processes
6. Basic knowledge of the National Credit Act
7. At least 5 years experience in managing a team
8. Minimum 3 years experience in the Micro Finance industry
9. Computer Literacy
10. Valid Driver's License
11. Strong human relations skills
12. Ability to plan and organise
