Area Manager – you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of approx. 16 stores within the North West and Gauteng Provinces. You will be instrumental in driving business performance, ensuring consistency in operational standards, and achieving financial targets. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of store managers to deliver exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee operations, staffing, and performance for the stores within the assigned area.
Drive sales, profitability, and operational excellence by setting targets, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
Recruit, train, and develop store managers and staff to ensure operational success and promote a positive working culture.
Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor financial performance and budget adherence, recommending adjustments where necessary.
Handle customer escalations and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Implement strategies for inventory management, merchandising, and local marketing efforts to increase store visibility and sales.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in retail management, with a strong background in multi-site management or area management.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Flexibility to travel between locations and stay over as needed.
