2X Area Managers in the Critical Infrastructure Division based in:
- NORTHERN – based at Head Office in Gauteng
- SOUTHERN – based in Port Elizabeth
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Render comprehensive proactive security services
- Liaise with clients, regional clients, and handle all internal and external security queries
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Sustain growth and profitability
- Increase and maintain staff performance and productivity
- Manage sub-contractors and subdivisions
- Plan and manage security operations
- Deliver effective team management
- Manage financial aspects of security operations
- Oversee personnel management
- Carry out dynamic security and safety risk assessments
- Communicate effectively with control room teams and liaise with operational management teams
- Maintain effective relationships with client staff, management, contractors, and service providers
- Provide reports and recommend process improvements
- Act as a focal point for security decision-making during routine and emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with standards and relevant laws
- Coordinate with all security service providers
- Keep site allocation data, polygons, and site lists up to date
- Liaise proactively with OCC NOC and assist with interactions
- Possess security technical ability and background
- Ensure adherence to disciplinary codes and SOPs
- Facilitate training as required
- Be willing to work after hours, long hours, and travel nationally
- Perform any other relevant duties
The suitable candidate shall have the following qualifications/attributes/skills:
- PSRA Grade A certification
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of operational management experience
- Good labour relations skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Earth
- Bilingual in English and another South African language
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willingness to work extensive hours, after hours, and standby
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Experience in implementing Quality Management Standards
- Ability to manage projects, draft policies, and influence stakeholders
- Experience with control room systems
- Analytical, quality-focused, and able to produce management information
- Excellent presentation and IT skills
- Target and KPI-focused while maintaining employee engagement
- Strong leadership skills: motivate, coach, develop, and inspire teams
- Effective communication across all levels
