Job description

Job Title: Area HR Generalist 2

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Deadline: August 18, 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver activities of the Area HR Generalist 1 and additional essential tasks within the assigned area, including:
  • HR Core, Operations / Compliance, Legal / Workforce Relations
  • Handling escalated issues related to background checks and worthiness reviews
  • Disability accommodation reviews
  • Payroll processing and final pay administration
  • Supporting belonging and diversity initiatives, including Employment Equity reports
  • Service missionary conflict resolution
  • Implementing alternative work arrangements
  • Workforce communications
  • Event planning for the area workforce
  • Managing education / tuition reimbursement programs
  • Overseeing off-boarding processes and tasks
  • Administering exit surveys
  • Performing other essential tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current Temple Recommend or certification by a priesthood leader indicating worthiness
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of professional experience or equivalent education and work experience
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and digital communication tools; adaptability to new HR technologies
  • Solid knowledge of HR operations with a compliance focus
  • Familiarity with HR best practices
  • Key skills include:
