Architectural Technologist

Our client is seeking to employ an architectural technologist with a high interest and experience in interior design. The candidate must have excellent CAD skills and Revit experience will be a bonus.

POSITION INFO :

Industry : Construction, Architecture

Location : Edenvale, Gauteng South Africa.

Salary : Market related.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 5 years’ experience in the field of Architecture.
• Must have site experience dealing with a variety of consultants.
• Must be able to work under supervision of the Project Manager.
• Create detailed technical drawings for specialized interior fit outs and architectural plans and layouts.
• Must be able and comfortable dealing with local municipalities to get plans approved.

Skills and Knowledge :

• AutoCAD.
• Revit (Advantageous).
• Excel, Word, Outlook.
• PowerPoint.

Responsibilities :

• Compliance with all SANS10400 regulations.
• Obtain site / stand / premises information.
• Interior details and architectural drawings.
• Specification sheets.
• Site inspections.
• Site measurements and as-built drawings.
• Project management and site organization with site instructions.
• Meeting all potential contractors and sub-contractors.
• Must be comfortable taking minutes of meetings with Contractors and suppliers.
• Collect samples and compile client presentations.
• Placing orders and checking of deliveries.
• Assist with budget preparations.
