Architectural Technologist

To further our strategic business growth, we are looking for a passionate Architectural Technologist / BAS in Durban, South Africa.

How the ideal candidate would be?

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as an Architectural Technologist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM software, with a strong understanding of BIM principles and workflows.
• Familiarity with large, complex projects and associated large teams is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What are the responsibilities?

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop architectural designs and construction documents using Revit and BIM software.
• Utilize BIM methodologies to create and manage digital representations of building projects, including 3D models, schedules, and documentation.
• Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Participate in project meetings, communicate with team members, and contribute to project coordination efforts.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members, as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices related to architectural technology.
