Architectural Specification Consultant (Sales) – Johannesburg.

Take ownership of your territory (PTA and JHB) and become the key link between a leading precast concrete supplier and the architectural market.

This is a senior, mostly field-based role with huge scope for influence and growth.

Salary: R45 000 to R55 000 per month.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years’ experience in a similar technical sales/specification role
• Business or industry-related degree preferred
• Experience in the construction, technical, or built environment preferred
• Commercial understanding of architectural and construction projects
• Solid grasp of industry standards (e.g., SANS 1200MJ, 1058)
• Strong relationship-building and conceptual sales ability
• Ability to read building plans and technical documents
• Competent in CRM systems (Salesforce ideal), MS Office, Excel, and CAD
• Willing to travel in JHB/PTA and work one Saturday every 6 weeks

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage relationships with architects, engineers, developers, and contractors
• Conduct CPD presentations and influence project specifications
• Recommend products based on technical applications and project needs
• Maintain active pipeline and CRM records (Salesforce)
• Interpret architectural drawings and align products to requirements
• Present product samples, technical data, and visual materials
• Coordinate internally with project and production teams to ensure accurate delivery
• Attend site visits, ensure product fit, and provide post-installation support
• Track key projects from conception to completion
• Identify new market needs, trends, and opportunities
• Submit regular reports
