Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects in the Soweto area. The role combines architectural expertise with strong project management to deliver on time, on budget and to high quality standards.

You will coordinate between clients, design teams and construction partners, managing all project phases from initiation to closure and handling complex stakeholder relationships in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience managing architectural and construction projects.
• Registered professional Architect or qualified Project Manager with architectural background.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera and Revit for project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with design specs, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Manage client communication with regular progress updates and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and South African building codes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder expectations in Soweto .
