Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Designer for their Centurion, Gauteng-based studio, focusing on urban regeneration and community-centered design. The candidate will translate briefs into innovative, sustainable solutions and work with senior architects and urban planners.

You will lead concept design, develop drawings, and engage with stakeholders to shape urban landscapes across projects. We value design excellence and social impact; strong visualization skills and SA context knowledge

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Architecture or Urban Design.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in architectural design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with urban regeneration or mixed-use developments preferred.
• Experience with public consultations and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and design development for urban regeneration projects.
• Create high-quality architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations.
• Collaborate with urban planners, landscape architects, and engineers to integrate design elements.
• Conduct site analysis and research for potential development opportunities.
• Prepare design documentation for planning applications and client presentations.
• Ensure designs are compliant with relevant zoning regulations and building codes.
• Contribute to the development of master plans and strategic urban design frameworks.
• Engage with stakeholders and community groups to incorporate feedback into design proposals.
