Architect (JB5169) Chintsa, Eastern Cape R60 – 65 000 CTC per month (Negotiable) 3-year Fixed Term Contract
Seeking a skilled Architect to lead the architectural design and planning for the construction of RDP houses and clinics in Chintsa, Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will ensure that designs meet regulatory standards, functionality requirements, and aesthetic considerations while supporting project execution from conception to completion. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural design, particularly in human settlement, housing, or infrastructure projects.
Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect.
Proven experience in conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing building projects.
Strong knowledge of South African building regulations, codes, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural software.
Experience in site planning, urban design, and sustainable building practices.
Ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure project success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee architectural designs for RDP housing and clinics in line with project objectives.
Ensure design compliance with SACAP regulations, municipal by-laws, and national building standards.
Prepare and present architectural drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation.
Collaborate with town planners, engineers, and contractors to integrate design with project execution.
Conduct site inspections and quality assessments to ensure adherence to architectural plans.
Provide input on materials selection, cost efficiency, and sustainability considerations.
Engage with stakeholders and authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
Address design challenges and modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
