Job description

At RCL FOODS, we see and do things differently.

We grow what matters! RCL FOODS is seeking two Fitter & Turner Apprentices to join our Baking Division.

The role will be based in Krugersdorp and reports to the Maintenance Foreman.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that plant maintenance is performed effectively and accurately to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

1. Undergo institutionalized training at the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) for approximately 20 weeks.
2. Gain employment, exposure, and training in different sections of the factory during operations and off-crop, approximately 29 weeks.
3. Complete each year's training, which will be assessed by a Mini Trade Test (phase test) to determine continued participation in the program.
4. Pass a final Trade Test to obtain a nationally recognized qualification.
