Apprentice Millwright: Steel - Worxs4U Recruitment

Our client is currently seeking a young, energetic, and physically fit candidate to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment in the steel plant.
2. Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with guidance from experienced millwrights.
3. Participate in the routine inspection of machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.
4. Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
5. Support Factory Manager in the execution of various tasks and projects.
6. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
7. Attend and actively participate in training sessions and workshops.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Technical certifications or coursework in mechanical/electrical fields is an advantage (Red seal).
3. Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
4. Basic knowledge of tools and machinery.
5. Commitment to a career in the millwright trade.
