Bilnor Labour is sourcing ambitious individuals for an Apprentice Diesel Mechanic role with our client in Benoni. This on-site apprenticeship covers diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy‑duty diesel engines across trucks, buses and commercial vehicles.

Qualifications

• Passion for diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance and inspections.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools.
• Perform repairs and replacements of engine components, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
• Conduct scheduled servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic data.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Participate in continuous training to stay updated with new diesel technology.
