Blacksmith Agency is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to lead the automation roadmap and deliver production systems on top of AI models. This is a builder role focused on shipping, not research, with ownership of end-to-end implementations.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Applied AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.
