Applications ManagerIT

Our client has a requirement for a resource to fulfil the role of I.T Applications Manager for the duration of 12 months to serve as the central liaison between Operations and IT for Manufacturing and Legacy Applications within the region. This role is essential for ensuring seamless support and project management of applications driving digital transformation and overseeing legacy application modernization efforts. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage a team dedicated to application support, and work closely with Operations to define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support models.

Primary Responsibilities

This role is accountable for:

1. Being the central point of contact between Operations and IT for Manufacturing and Legacy Applications in the region (support and projects).
2. Building strong relationships with the stakeholders to enable effective dialogue exchange between departments.
3. Managing the Manufacturing and Legacy Applications team.
4. Working with Operations to agree on the Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and the support model.
5. Manage contracts for software licenses and maintenance support for regional applications.
6. Working to ensure the quality of service in accordance with the agreed SLAs.
7. Deliver agreed enhancements following the IT Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Change Management process.
8. Review and provide a roadmap for legacy applications modernization and rationalization.
9. Design and present new solutions to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval.
10. Anticipating and mitigating risks identifying improvement opportunities.
11. Providing progress and status reports at regular intervals to the stakeholders.
12. Managing issues and requests utilizing the IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing systems and ensure that the tickets are progressing and resolved in accordance with the SLAs.
13. Organizing and leading the meetings related to applications.
14. Determine the staffing requirements and skills needed to support the regional applications.
15. Work with the companies Operations Information Technology (TOIS) Center of Excellence (CoE) to prioritize enhancement requests.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

1. 5 Years of IT Applications or Operation Technology (OT) Applications management experience.
2. 10 Years of IT Applications Development experience in various languages.
3. Technically proficient with Process Control Systems Manufacturing Systems (MES) and historian systems (e.g. full Siemens Suite, Emerson DeltaV, Syncade, OSI PI, ThingWorx, Khronos Insight, Aveva Production Management (formally known as Ampla), Bulk Matrix, Honeywell Connected Plant, RT Duet).
4. Understanding of the ISA95 Purdue model.
5. Ability to translate Business Requirements (BR) to Functional Requirements (FR).
6. Strong organization and coordination skills.
7. Demonstrated experience in developing project strategies and managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
8. Excellent communication skills strong relationship builder.
9. Must be a results-oriented motivator with a can-do attitude and strong customer support abilities.
10. Must be a problem solver with varying degrees of complexity.
11. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or equivalent.
12. You are proficient in English with excellent verbal and written skills.

Additionally:

1. Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) S4 or ECC6.
2. Experience with Cloud-based architectures, Microsoft Azure preferred.
3. Experience with advanced data models including Data Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Databricks.
4. Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and systems design.
5. Able to work in a matrix organization.
6. Has worked for a multinational company and is able to work effectively with different cultures.
7. You have worked in manufacturing working environments.
8. You have experience in the Mining and Chemical industry.
9. You are able to work independently with initiative, be a strong team player, and have excellent time management skills.
10. You are able to influence your stakeholders and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
11. You have the ability to write business correspondence and procedure manuals and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of users and managers.
