Job summary

Sedna.net is seeking an Application Engineer in Cape Town to design, develop, and optimize scalable applications using C# and .NET, with a focus on secure, high-performance systems.

You will implement performance-critical C++ components, build Web APIs, and integrate AMQP messaging, PostgreSQL databases, and OAuth-based authentication.

Collaborate across teams on 3D system work and cybersecurity best practices, using MATLAB for pose estimation tasks and ensuring robust deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and .NET for building robust applications.
• Experience with C++ for performance-critical development.
• RESTful Web API design and implementation.
• Experience with AMQP messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Proficient in PostgreSQL database design, querying, and optimization.
• Knowledge of OAuth for secure authentication and authorization.
• Experience with 3D systems (visualization/processing).
• Strong cybersecurity practices and secure coding.
• MATLAB for Pose Estimation or related signal-processing tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using C# and .NET for scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Implement performance-critical components using C++.
• Build and maintain Web APIs to enable seamless service integration and communication.
