A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop technical requirements and manage projects related to CBM and Mine Dewatering. The ideal candidate must possess a Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Pumps or Allied Industry. Strong sales and customer service skills are essential to identify new product applications and ensure project success.
Applications Engineer Key Areas of Responsibility : Development Work with suppliers to create detailed technical requirements, including system architecture, hardware, software, and data, ensuring risk management, quality considerations, and product deployment and field support while allowing for innovation.
Identify new product candidates.
Develop and assist in executing technical product road maps, development schedules, and product designs for The Company Artificial Lift.
Work closely with development teams during design and implementation.
Improve the current process of developing, distributing, maintaining, and ensuring traceability of product requirements for The Company Artificial Lift.
Assist in the development of system test specifications.
Sales Growth Hold regular meetings with potential clients, consulting engineers, and other parties to establish possible applications of The Company product range.
Identify new opportunities in the CBM and Mine Dewatering sectors that can lead to sales.
Specify the correct products for CBM and Mine Dewatering applications identified.
Review tenders to evaluate tender terms and conditions and identify risks for The Company and specific unique requirements of supply for CBM and Mine Dewatering projects.
Quotation Cost products suitable for CBM and Mine Dewatering tender requirements.
Prepare quotations, including terms and conditions of sale and equipment use.
Compile bills of quantity for CBM and Mine Dewatering projects.
Source special items required in CBM and Mine Dewatering tenders, not currently part of The Company store items.
Project Management Gather information from customers on their needs for CBM, Mine Dewatering, and Artificial Lift applications, and develop the software to match their requirements.
Design all program components and analyze how they fit together for CBM and Mine Dewatering applications.
Ensure the proper functioning of remote monitoring systems for maintenance and testing of CBM, Mine Dewatering, and Artificial Lift applications.
Troubleshoot problems with remote monitoring SCADA and implement updates to address issues in CBM, Mine Dewatering, and Artificial Lift applications.
Ensure stages of development reach completion on time according to project milestones for CBM, Mine Dewatering, and Artificial Lift applications.
Document all aspects of CBM, Mine Dewatering, and Artificial Lift applications for future upgrades and maintenance.
Ensure product technical quality is monitored and reported from release through life, ensuring manufacturability and optimizing the cost of components and procedures.
Minimum Requirements : Matric Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 5 years experience in an Applications Engineer position Must have Pumps or Allied Industry experience Customer Service Driven Strong sales and marketing experience #J Ljbffr
