Applications Design Lead (Financial Services)

A leading financial services group of good repute requires the services of an Applications Design Lead to join their team.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to lead a team of developers and design/architect, develop, maintain and support information technology (IT) solutions to meet business needs within the group.

Key Performance Areas:

• Conduct analyses and design/architect quality IT solutions.
• Lead the delivery of quality IT solutions through development, integration, testing and deployment.
• Ensure total quality of an IT solution by contributing to compiling standards, improving processes and ensuring that approved processes and standards are followed.
• Consistently provide IT solution maintenance and support in the designated area.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:

• An Honours degree in IT (NQF 8) or an equivalent qualification.
• Development Language Certification.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in an IT environment.
• Solid knowledge of React/Angular or Java Script, Go Lang, Python Programming, Shell Scripting, XML, Json and AppWorks.
