Position Summary:

The CDL driver's role involves safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and delivering prompt, complete waste collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform pre- and post-operation checks on the vehicle, including tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components, in accordance with FCC regulations.
2. Operate commercial vehicles safely on assigned routes, including roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
3. Manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment following FCC safety regulations and procedures.
4. Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely and professional service.
5. Monitor vehicle status continuously to keep it operationally ready, reducing downtime.
6. Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
7. Maintain departmental productivity standards to ensure timely service to clients.
8. Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in garbage/recycling preferred.
• Class B commercial driver's license.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as required.
• Must meet all qualifications under Department of Transportation regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
