Job Description
Job Purpose:
To Provide specialized pre-hospital health care to injured, sick, infirm, and aged persons and emergency transport to medical facilities at ANT/ECP/ Ndip in EMC level of care when required.
Key Performance Areas:
1. Safe patient care in compliance within HPCSA protocols as an ANT/CCA/ Ndip in EMC.
2. Apply advanced clinical skills in pre-hospital emergency care, including diagnostics, medication administration, and procedures.
3. Efficient handling of and response to emergency calls as per company policy.
4. Maintain operational readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment.
5. Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, colleagues, and other emergency services.
6. Accurate completion and administration of all required patient and company documentation.
7. Responding timeously to all call outs.
8. Assessing health status of persons involved in accidents, natural disasters and other emergency situations.
9. Deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages, including trauma and medical emergencies.
10. Monitoring changes in the health status of patients during transport to and from medical, rehabilitation and other health care facilities.
11. Performing medical procedures/treatment at ANT/ECP/ Ndip in EMC level of training.
12. Efficient and effective management of emergency medical and trauma calls as per company standards, policies, and procedures.
13. Recording information on patient’s conditions and treatment on Patient Report Form (PRF) in accordance with guidelines published by HPCSA.
14. Accurate completion of PRF’s and submission for processing according to scheme and company policy.
15. Responsible driving of emergency vehicles in accordance with company policy and National Road Traffic Act.
16. Safe operating of company vehicles and equipment as per company policies and procedures.
17. Practice of strict infection control measures and maintaining a safe, healthy, and accident-free workplace.
18. Active participation in continuous development activities aimed at improving and updating clinical and industry related knowledge.
19. Compliance with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines published by HPCSA.
20. Represent the organization professionally in the community.
21. Be able to inspire, motivate, develop, and lead other staff to ensure efficient clinical and professional emergency medical care.

Job Requirements
Current registration with HPCSA as ANT/ECP/ Ndip in EMC.
2. Must have a valid Code 8 or 10 driver’s license, and PrDP, non-negotiable.
3. Matric with Math’s and Science.
4. Minimum of one years’ experience post qualification.
5. Sound clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team.
7. Ability to perform and remain calm under high pressure situations.
8. Excellent telephonic/radio communication skills.
9. Excellent communication skills with colleagues, hospital staff and Doctors.
10. Fluent in English. Any additional languages will be advantageous.
11. Flexibility to adapt and cope with changes at short notice.
12. Strong administration skills with attention to detail.
13. Must be PC literate – basic word, excel and e-mail
