Job summary
Takealot Group is seeking a Software Engineer (Android Storefront) in South Africa to design, develop and refine features for the android storefront. You will resolve bugs, improve performance, and collaborate with a cross-functional team on design reviews and estimations.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional mobile development, strong fundamentals, and experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern Android patterns. Hybrid remote work is available within South Africa.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in a software/technology environment is required.
- If no degree, equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years of Software Development experience.
Responsibilities
- Help design, develop and refine new features for the Android storefront.
- Locate and resolve bugs and crashes in mobile apps.
- Brainstorm new ideas and concepts with teammates.
- Collaborate on design reviews, code reviews, and estimation efforts.
