Job summary

Xceptor in Cape Town is seeking a Technical Product Manager, Analytics & Reporting to own analytics, reporting, and BI capabilities. You will work with Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, Commercial, and Compliance teams to deliver trusted insights for decision-making, efficiency, and growth.

You will prioritise enhancements, improve data accessibility, and help teams leverage data effectively across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Product Manager, or similar role in a fintech, financial services, capital markets, or other regulated environment.
• Experience delivering analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or data-related products.
• Strong understanding of product management principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating in highly technical discussions with engineers, architects, and technology leaders.
• Can read and understand code and enjoys engaging with technical concepts.
• Has a strong builder mindset and is passionate about creating products that enable others to succeed.
• Is naturally curious and constantly learning about new technologies, tools, and approaches.
• Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics, reporting, and BI backlog; deliver roadmap initiatives.
• Translate business needs into product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to deliver solutions.
• Support releases, testing, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Manage a portfolio of analytics and reporting products across the organisation.
• Develop dashboards, operational reporting, and self-service analytics.
• Ensure reporting solutions are scalable and aligned with user needs.
• Promote data-driven culture and governance in reporting outputs.
