Job summary

X, bigly labs is seeking an Intermediate Analytics Engineer to build silver and gold data models in Databricks, with certified metrics and auditable lineage. You’ll define metrics, maintain quality, and ensure consistent, trusted analytics across BI and AI consumers.

The role involves shipping changes via Git, GitHub Actions, and Databricks Asset Bundles, while working with SAP BW mappings and data pipelines in a fast-paced healthcare-related data environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in data-related field.
• 3–5 years in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Expert SQL: window functions, CTEs, complex joins and large analytical models.
• Strong data modelling: star schemas, dimensional modelling, facts & dimensions.
• Experience with Databricks Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines or dbt.
• Git and CI/CD in data workflows; Databricks Git UI usage.
• Working SAP knowledge: BW objects, S/4HANA or Business Data Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build silver and gold models in Databricks using Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.
• Define certified metrics in gold tables and Unity Catalog metric views.
• Maintain one authoritative metric definition with lineage and owners.
• Add data quality checks to models and codify rules in pipelines.
