Job summary

Rheinmetall is recruiting for a laboratory analyst in Western Cape to support routine and non-routine analysis for continuous production. You will assist with basic laboratory administration, interact with plant personnel, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.

The role requires a BTech/BSc in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent, deadline-oriented multitasking, and strong communication. You will work within a team, handling data interpretation and reporting while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

• B Tech/BSc in Analytical Chemistry or NQF 7 equivalent qualification.
• Must be deadline orientated and be able to multi – task.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills .
• Self-motivated and independen.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to work in a team and independently.
• Good planning and attention to detail.
• Must be computer Literate.
• Excellent communication and organizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support with conducting routine and non-routine analysis to support continuous production.

• Adhere to quality and safety requirements.
• Good housekeeping and responsible waste management.
• Support with the Calibration and Verification of laboratory equipment.
• Capable of interpretation of data and sentencing.
• Able to engage and liaise with suppliers in any event.
• Assist in interpretation of results and writing of reports.
• Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 ISO 50001 and ISO 17025.
• Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
