Main Purpose of The Role:

  1. Commercial Support – Customer Visibility and Implementation
  2. Strategic Implementation Project Lead
  3. Internal Projects and Process Improvements (Best Practice)
  4. Internal & External Training – Customer Visibility tools
  5. System Super user and Application support
  6. Business Implementation Manager responsibility on EDI projects
  7. Reporting analyst for special customer reporting requirements
  8. Continuous Improvement Projects

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4 – 7 years' Systems and Process / analyst experience in a Logistics environment
  2. Preference to Senior Systems and Processes.

Consideration for Operational / Supervisory role in either Operations, Account Management should they have suitable technical acumen and exposure to Systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Matric (essential)
  2. Advantageous to have Industry level qualification / tertiary qualification
  3. Computer packages: Cargowise or other related Industry TMS, Microsoft Dynamics / CRM software; Purchase Order Management Systems / Customer Visibility platforms, Power BI, Understanding of EDI and API technologies and disciplines

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Sales support of Customer Applications and Value Added services as defined – Purchase Order Management, Customer Visibility and online bookings, Connectivity Solutions and Advanced customer reporting, etc.
  2. Customer Innovation and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  3. Communicate customer requirements for development
  4. Maintenance and enhancements of Customer Applications (Super user)
  5. Project Management on strategic Implementation projects nationally (subject to Scope qualification)
  6. First line support to National team – maintenance, setup, change management, error resolutions
  7. Document Development for training and Implementation according to standard best practice
  8. Internal and External training on Customer Applications, Connectivity and Reporting
  9. Vertical Development Support
  10. Managing and implementing complex Reporting requests and requirements
  11. Supporting continuous Improvement and process improvement initiatives as it relates to Internal or External processes – working with Robotics, Innovation and other teams on solutions.
  12. Lead and coordinate assigned strategic customer implementations within Division or Cross-divisional projects
  13. Effective engagement with the Global Network and teams to ensure origin / destination requirements are implemented effectively
  14. Continuous Improvement initiatives
  15. Monitor, manage and track all major implementation projects keeping to deadlines and tracking costs related to Implementation and setup, through use of agreed project management software
  16. Co-ordinate and project manage customer EDI / API integrations as per agreed methodology including customer engagement, scope, costing & User Acceptance Testing
  17. Contribute to content and maintenance of all templates, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  18. Assist in creation, formulating and presenting of Training Material on a National Level as it applies to Implementation, EDI, specialized reporting & Order Management best practice
  19. Creating Product awareness and reinforcing best practice
