Analyst Developer: Millennium Production Support

Who are we?

Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

What will you do?

Provide Epsilon Support to Sanlam Retail Affluent’s (SRA) business environments.

What will make you successful in this role?

• Analysis of production queries received.
• Provide recommended solutions for production queries.
• Problem solving, root cause analysis and user assistance for production queries.
• Provide standby and support.
• Test Interfaces to other systems.
• Debugging and troubleshooting of programs.
• Provide test information to Testers when required and applicable.
• Support of MS Access solution.
• Implement changes into the Production environment.
• Update documentation where applicable.
• Support during DR test.
• Run ad hoc and monthly programs to provide data to external systems.
• Monitor and rectify error reports daily.

Qualification

• Grade 12
• Any relevant IT Qualification (IT Diploma or Degree) will be a strong recommendation.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within application development.
• Proven record of exceptional work performance.
• Experience with Agile methodologies will be a strong recommendation.

Knowledge:

• Software Quality and metric.
• High level understanding of Enterprise Test Methodology.
• Sound knowledge of the Financial Services industry will be a strong recommendation.
• Understanding:
• The SDLC Methodology.
• Code XML, XSD, HTTP and SOAP protocols.
• Domain Driven Design concepts.
• Planning and Software design.
• UML (Class, Activity, Entity Relation Diagrams, etc.).
• OO concepts, design principles and patterns.
• Microsoft Patterns and Practices.
• Knowledge of Persistence frameworks (XPO would be beneficial).
• Documentation Frameworks, Tools and Standards.
• Good knowledge of the following technologies will be beneficial:
• Java.
• .NET C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET.
• MVC, MCF, LinQ.
• HTML, CSS, XML.
• JavaScript, JQuery, Json.
