Job summary

Une entreprise leader cherche un technicien expérimenté chargé de l'installation et de la maintenance de compteurs de services publics, assurant l'efficacité opérationnelle et la facturation fiable. Le candidat idéal aura un diplôme en ingénierie électrique, au moins 7 ans d'expérience pertinente, et devra démontrer des compétences en diagnostic de compteur et en communication technique. Un excellent service client est essentiel dans ce rôle exigeant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience dans l'installation et la maintenance de compteurs.
  • Valid Code B driver's license nécessaire.
  • Compétence prouvée dans le diagnostic et la résolution des problèmes de comptage.

Responsibilities

  • Superviser l'installation et la maintenance des dispositifs de lecture de compteurs automatiques.
  • Effectuer des vérifications d'assurance qualité sur les installations.
  • Résoudre les problèmes de communication et effectuer des diagnostics sur site.

Job description

To ensure the accurate and efficient collection of utilities data collection by overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated meter reading devices, supporting reliable billing and operational efficiency for utility services.

Job Description
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in installations, maintenance, and audits of single-phase, three-phase, CT driven, and high-voltage meter installations.
• Extensive knowledge of AMR meters, modems, CTs, VTs, and all associated software.
• Proficient in both prepaid and postpaid meter installations.
• Familiarity with Hexing, Kamstrup, and Conlog meters is advantageous.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve on-site metering faults and communication issues between meters, modems and the HES.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting quality assurance checks on installer and contractor installations.
• Skilled in using electrical test instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, HV tong testers, and calibration devices like Metes 320’s.
• Competent in using hand tools and power tools as required.
• Basic understanding of water meters and Sigfox communication devices.
• Foundational knowledge of data concentrators.
• Strong understanding of phasor diagrams, load profiles, kW vs. kWh, and demand metrics for investigating on-site metering queries and disputes.
• Customer care experience

Qualification
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Code B driver’s license.
• ORHVS certification is advantageous.
• Class 4 meter worker certification is advantageous

Experience/Knowledge Required
• 7 years’ experience
• Perform on-site troubleshooting of metering issues.
• Diagnose and resolve communication problems on-site.
• Conduct on-site quality assurance checks of installer and contractor work.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, customers, and end users.
• Occasionally supervise meter installations and rollout projects.
