Aluminum / Glass Sales Representative – Cape Town.

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Representative with a background in the glass or aluminium sector? Our client requires a sales representative in this industry sector to be responsible for growing and maintaining a strong customer base, promoting high-quality products, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent service through regular client visits and close collaboration with internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 4 years’ experience in a similar industry

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Branch Manager
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail clients within the glass and aluminium industry.
  • Promote and sell a range of products including large glass panels, custom-cut glass, and related aluminium solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities and actively grow the customer base in your assigned territory
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in line with company guidelines to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy and product development
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with internal departments (production, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth delivery and after-sales support
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and product training sessions as required to stay updated on product offerings and market developments.
  • Manage time effectively, planning routes and appointments to maximize daily productivity and territory coverage
