Job Description

The Allocator is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Merchandise Strategy by conducting store and merchandise-related analysis. They liaise with suppliers, stores, and the Distribution Centre regarding stock levels, deliveries, and general queries, ensuring effective stock management and timely delivery of stock.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work collaboratively with the buying team to maximise sales, optimise inventory levels, and grow profit.
2. Analyze merchandise performance and propose relevant outcomes.
3. Communicate, present, and implement the product strategy effectively.
4. Communicate, present, and implement the promotional strategy aligned with marketing campaigns.
5. Manage financial and strategic aspects of the product, including product planning, allocations, controlling OTB, and reviewing weekly & monthly figures.
6. Provide weekly and monthly trade feedback with associated action plans.
7. Manage monthly, seasonal, and financial year forecasts for product categories.
8. Manage range size and assortments.
9. Manage replenishment stock.
10. Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners, including suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification.
• 2-5 years proven experience as a Merchandise Planner.
• High numeracy skills with an analytical, detailed, and strategic approach.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel (advanced), and planning systems.
• Strong business acumen and merchant thinking.
