About the Role

Join a leading aviation services provider as an Aircraft Systems Specialist in Tembisa, Gauteng. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the in-depth maintenance, repair, and overhaul of complex aircraft systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, and environmental control systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure seamless operation and longevity of these vital components. This position is essential for upholding operational integrity and contributing to the overall success of our aviation operations in Gauteng province of South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to aircraft systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, landing gear, and environmental controls.
• Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems according to technical manuals and approved data.
• Interpret system schematics, maintenance manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to identify root causes of system failures and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and aviation regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, parts used, and test results in the maintenance logbook.
• Participate in the testing and calibration of aircraft system components.
• Assist in the development and implementation of improved maintenance procedures for various aircraft systems.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in aircraft systems technology and maintenance techniques.
• Ensure the efficient and safe use of tools and equipment required for system maintenance.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically focused on aircraft systems maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of aircraft systems.
