Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Systems Specialist in Gauteng for a senior role focused on maintenance, repair, and overhaul of complex aircraft systems. You will handle hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, and environmental control systems, ensuring safety and reliability in a high-ops environment.

The role requires a recognized Aircraft Maintenance Engineering qualification and a minimum of five years of hands-on experience with aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience focused on aircraft systems maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of aircraft systems.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft system operation and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with SACAA regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex aircraft-system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs per manuals and data.
• Interpret system schematics, manuals and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to identify root causes and solutions.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with regulations and policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and test results.
• Participate in testing and calibration of system components.
• Assist in developing and implementing improved maintenance procedures.
• Stay updated on advancements in aircraft-systems technology and techniques.
• Ensure safe and efficient use of tools and equipment.
