Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Systems Engineer in Pretoria to design, develop, integrate, and test aircraft subsystems. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure performance, reliability, and safety across current and future programs.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace systems engineering, proficiency with DOORS and SysML, and experience in simulation/modeling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, SysML).
• Experience with simulation and modeling software for aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
• Develop system requirements, specifications, and test plans in accordance with project objectives.
• Perform system integration activities, ensuring seamless interaction between different aircraft subsystems.
• Conduct performance testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for system anomalies.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and support teams to ensure successful production and in-service performance of aircraft systems.
