Placements24 seeks an innovative Aerospace Systems Engineer to join its Port Elizabeth R&D team. You will design and integrate advanced aerospace subsystems, conduct system analyses, and drive validation through rigorous test plans.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex aerospace systems, ensuring seamless interaction between various subsystems.
• Conduct system-level analysis, simulations, and modeling to predict and optimize performance.
• Develop and execute test plans for system validation and verification, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues encountered during development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, flight operations, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful system lifecycle management.
• Document system designs, interfaces, and requirements meticulously.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering , including system design and integration.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, and control systems.
• Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Experience with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
