Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Technician to join our Richards Bay facility. You will perform structural repairs, modifications and inspections on airframes, working with metals and composites in a fast-paced aviation environment.

The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings and repair manuals, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and maintaining a pristine work area. A trade qualification in aircraft structures is advantageous.

About the Role

This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and airworthiness of aircraft by performing repairs, modifications, and inspections on the airframe structure. You will work with various materials, including metals and composites, ensuring all structural work adheres to strict aviation standards and specifications. The successful candidate will possess excellent manual dexterity, a strong understanding of structural repair techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs, modifications, and inspections on aircraft airframes using approved data and techniques.
• Work with a variety of materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and specialized aerospace metals.
• Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
• Ensure all structural work is performed to the highest standards of quality and complies with airworthiness directives and regulations.
