Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join our MRO facility. You will be responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of airframes by performing repairs, modifications, and inspections.

This role offers exposure to diverse aircraft types, emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Certified Aircraft Structures Mechanic or equivalent experience.
• Experience with riveting, bonding and welding techniques.
• Familiar with aluminum alloys, composites, and titanium materials.
• Ability to interpret repair manuals, blueprints and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue; perform detailed assessments.
• Repair and replace structural components such as fuselage, wings, and control surfaces using approved methods.
• Fabricate parts and structures according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on structural components to identify hidden defects.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure repairs meet regulatory standards.
