Placements24 seeks a skilled Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our Stellenbosch team. You will inspect, repair, and modify airframe structures using metal and composite techniques, ensuring airworthiness and safety across a diverse fleet.

You will read and interpret manuals, drawings, and specifications while fabricating and installing components. Emphasis on precision, safety, and adherence to aviation standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structural Mechanic or Sheet Metal Worker.
• Ability to read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship.
• Certification or recognized training in aircraft structural repair.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections of aircraft structures to identify damage, corrosion, or fatigue.
• Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft structures using approved procedures, including metal bonding, riveting, and composite repair techniques.
• Interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings to guide repair actions.
• Fabricate and install structural components as required.
• Document all repair work performed, including materials used and compliance with technical data.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with aviation safety regulations and company standards.
