Placements24 seeks an Aircraft Painter for our Paarl MRO facility. You will prepare aircraft surfaces and apply durable, aerospace-grade finishes using specialized coatings and equipment to ensure a flawless result aligned with regulatory standards.

You will work with primers, base coats, and clear coats, adhering to strict quality and safety protocols while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and collaborating with a team of aviation professionals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Painter or in a similar painting role.
• Knowledge of aircraft paints, primers, solvents, and surface prep.
• Proficiency with spray painting equipment and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret paint specs and SDS files.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix and apply primer, base coats, and clear coats per specs and environmental standards.
• Operate spray guns, airbrushes, and other painting equipment for even finishes.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and correct as needed to meet quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE and proper ventilation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage painting materials inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
