As technology continues to advance, UAV operations are playing an increasingly crucial role in various industries, from surveillance and reconnaissance to data collection and beyond.

As an Aircraft Mechanic you will be integral to the assembly, inspection, and maintenance of advanced UAV and aerospace systems. Your role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of safety, functionality, and reliability for our cutting-edge technology across various domains. This position is based in Airport City, Cape Town.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Component and Assembly Work :

Assemble aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and complete aircraft assemblies with precision and attention to detail.

  • Ensure all components are correctly installed and aligned according to engineering specifications and company standards.
  • Inspection and Release :

Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components and sub-assemblies, verifying their compliance with company authorizations and regulatory approvals.

  • Release aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies for operational use, ensuring they meet all safety and performance criteria.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting :

Perform regular maintenance tasks, including the inspection, repair, and overhaul of aircraft systems and components.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Work closely with engineers and other technical team members to support the development, testing, and refinement of aerospace systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Aircraft Mechanic with 2 years’ experience in industry
  • No Type Rating Required but it will be beneficial
  • Must be familiar with Aviation Standards
  • Must be able to read and build from drawings
