Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our client’s Line Maintenance team in Bloemfontein. You will perform pre-flight inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on aircraft between flights to ensure safety and on-time operations.

The role requires a recognized trade qualification, 3+ years in line maintenance, and familiarity with SA-CAA regulations. It offers exposure to diverse aircraft, training, and employee travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in aircraft line maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with SA-CAA regulations and aviation safety protocols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-flight, transit, and post-flight inspections.
• Diagnose and rectify defects on aircraft systems during line maintenance.
• Carry out scheduled minor maintenance tasks as required.
• Interpret technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and legibly.
• Coordinate with flight crew to ensure timely turnarounds.
• Identify and report unserviceable defects requiring further attention.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
