Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic for our Port Elizabeth line maintenance team. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, and carry out minor repairs to ensure swift aircraft turnarounds.

You will work on the ramp and in hangars, following approved data and procedures, recording actions in logbooks, and adhering to aviation safety standards while supporting a collaborative maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Aircraft Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade certification.
• Minimum 3 years of line maintenance experience on commercial aircraft.
• Familiarity with multiple aircraft types and their maintenance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and minor repairs on aircraft during turnaround periods.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues reported by flight crews or identified during inspections.
• Carry out component replacements and adjustments as required by maintenance schedules and technical directives.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with approved technical data and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Accurately record all maintenance actions performed in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance systems.
