Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop innovative interior design schemes for aircraft cabins, including seating, galleys, lavatories, and amenities.

Our client, a distinguished aviation manufacturing firm located in Mahikeng, North West, is seeking a creative and skilled Aircraft Interior Design Specialist. This role focuses on conceptualizing and developing innovative and aesthetically pleasing interior cabin designs for commercial and private aircraft. You will translate client requirements and market trends into functional, ergonomic, and luxurious cabin environments. This is an on-site position, requiring your active participation in design studios and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio of design work, exceptional artistic talent, and a deep understanding of aviation regulations related to cabin interiors. You will be instrumental in enhancing the passenger experience through thoughtful and sophisticated design.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop innovative interior design schemes for aircraft cabins, including seating arrangements, galleys, lavatories, and passenger amenities.
• Create detailed design proposals, mood boards, 2D renderings, and 3D models using industry-standard design software.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related creative field.

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Maya, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and color theory.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations pertaining to aircraft cabin interiors is highly desirable.
• Excellent visual presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
