Job summary

Pl acements24 is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician to join the Upington maintenance team. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, and installing avionics to uphold airworthiness and safety standards in a demanding aviation environment.

Applicants should bring extensive electrical troubleshooting experience, strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician or similar role with significant electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical principles, wiring standards, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and testing procedures for aircraft electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in aircraft electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on electrical components and wiring harnesses according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics and aircraft electrical system components.
• Interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and test results.
