Placements24 in Benoni, South Africa, is seeking an experienced Senior Aircraft Systems Technician to join our client's maintenance team. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness and reliability.

The role requires hands-on expertise with avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, strong safety focus, and mentorship of junior technicians. Training and career development are supported.

Qualifications

Holder of a recognized trade qualification as an Aircraft Technician or equivalent.
Six years of hands-on experience with aircraft systems.
Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems.
Diagnose and rectify faults in avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with SACAA regulations and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance performed, including parts and labor.
Calibrate and test aircraft systems and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering skill development within the team.
